His bare foot sways to the rhythm of a song you can’t hear as he feels the evening breeze surging through the open window. The dust swirls in the light around him as he rests his hands on his stomach, eyelids painted yellow by the setting sun. This young god of wind, absent-mindedly whirring toy planes in the air above him while his thoughts are somewhere else. His mind is somewhere you won’t ever be able to breach and for a moment, you feel as though you don’t even know him at all. He didn’t hear you enter, and you feel you’ve mistakenly seen a moment too sacred to have ever been shared. The wood creaks beneath your feet and he turns his head, the planes all falling from the air and around him on the bed. He cracks you a small smile, whatever world he was just in visibly melting away from his face. “Oh, hey.”
